Course Maintenance Workforce Transition
Location Enid Skills Center – Enid, Oklahoma
Average Training Time 610 to 745 hours (6 - 8 Months) The program is performance based. The student must pass competency tests and demonstrate mastery of required tasks.
Special Restrictions Must have minimum reading and math skill levels of 5.0 as measured by TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education).
Course Description This is a two-phase program with phase-one focusing on transitional skill for re-entry back into the workforce and phase-two provides students with occupational training for a career major in Building and Grounds Maintenance.  Phase-two introduces students to the basics of welding, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and horticulture.  Both phases are competency-based in an open entry/controlled exit format.
Certifications Core NCCER certification, 10-hour OSHA Safety Card; Work Readiness credential – WorkKeys Certification.
