3D Modeling and Rigging Techniques

Students will acquire and/or enhance modeling and character rigging skills and texturing and lighting techniques to advance 3D animation skills. (This course is optional, but suggested, for the Motion Graphics Artist career major.)

Fundamentals of 3D Motion Graphics
-Convert real objects to models using 3D motion graphics software.

-Model complex graphics, using independent judgment, creativity, and computer equipment.

-Make objects or characters appear lifelike by manipulating light, color, texture, shadow, and transparency and/or manipulating static images to give the illusion of motion using visual effects through 3D motion graphics software.

-Demonstrate proficiency in working with 3D motion graphics modeling.

-Apply techniques for modeling and rigging with 3D animation software.

-Rig models to be animated.
