Students will prepare for careers in digital communication as they learn to develop personal and professional videos applying appropriate certification and copyright standards.

Fundamentals of Technology and/or Multimedia & Image Management Techniques (preferred)
Explain and implement presentation management concepts, including storyboarding, layout, multimedia, font and color selection, graphic images, copyright and ethics, audience usability, file hierarchy, and navigation.

Demonstrate ways to communicate effectively and efficiently through video.

Identify job roles, certifications, and responsibilities in the Video Production Industry.

Identify pre-production requirements including storyboarding, researching, budgeting, drafting proposals, contracts and requirements documents, prioritizing, etc.

Identify and construct appropriate “voice” for professional communications.

Manipulate, troubleshoot, compress, publish and export graphics and/or animations.

Synthesize available interactive media technologies into a unified video production using appropriate authoring software and tools.

Produce or acquire graphics, animation, audio, and/or video content.

Demonstrate the effective use of tools for interactive media production, development and project management.

Apply knowledge of equipment and skills related to audio and video production.

Demonstrate writing audio scripts and developing storyboards for video production.

Apply knowledge of lighting and production requirements for a planned production.

Exhibit knowledge of editing audio and video productions.

Demonstrate technical production support for audio and video productions.

Apply knowledge of camera operations, combined with effective lighting techniques for productions.

Exhibit ethical conduct in writing, creating, printing, broadcasting, and performing.

Explore career opportunities in audio and video technology and film.

Produce, direct, and/or edit professional quality videos in a linear and/or non-linear environment.

Demonstrate technical production support for audio and/or video productions.

Exhibit knowledge and skills required to design a production for audio and/or video productions.

Demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver a broadcast production.
