Portfolio Development in Early Care in Education is a course design to assist students in designing an early childhood professional portfolio. The course combines classroom instruction with lab experience to develop needed items to complete requirements for the CDA credential. The course will allow students the opportunity to experience first hand what it is like to work with children in group settings. The course also gives the students a basis for the understanding of the CDA credentialing process.
