Tools and Utensils used in Food Handling

This course will address the safe use and selection of the appropriate tools or utensils used in the handling of food. Students will demonstrate the correct use of proper food handling tools and utensils when preparing food. In addition, students will demonstrate the safe use of a flat spatula, food tongs, hotcake or meat turner, kitchen fork, offset spatula, perforated kitchen spoon, perforated ladle, plastic scraper, rubber scraper, sandwich spreader, slotted kitchen spoon, solid kitchen spoon and solid ladle.
