Tools and Utensils used in Food Preparation

Students will be able to identify tools and utensils used in food preparation. They will select the appropriate tool/utensil to use for proper food preparation and demonstrate the correct use of these tools and utensils. Students will demonstrate the safe uses of the following food preparation tools and utensils; colander, box grater, egg slicer, wire whip, hand meat tenderizer, melon baller, skewer, strainer, and vegetable peeler.
