Advanced Project Management
This course provides students with the advanced skills needed to execute project management strategies effectively. Students experience the project management process through their involvement in problem-based projects that address an identified need within their schools and/or communities.

-Implement time management strategies and techniques.
-Utilize brainstorming as an effective project planning method.
-Create a project plan that includes the necessary paperwork and documentation from the project planning guideline document.
-Understand the concept associated with providing solutions to real world problems.
-Demonstrate organizational skills through the implementation of problem-based projects.
-Demonstrate the process for providing solutions to real world problems.
-Complete a project planning documents that include project proposals, project calendars, marketing material, brochures, presentations, etc.
-Develop a project individually or collaboratively.
-Identify contacts that play a role in the advancement and completion of projects.
-Identify and collaborate with people who play a key role in the development and implementation of a project.
-Utilize critical thinking skills to overcome project obstacles.
-Implement strategies to ensure project deadlines are met.
-Compile a project binder based upon the requirements found in the binder guidelines.

-Present a completed project to a small or large group.
-Evaluate the process for planning, managing, and implementing projects.
- Exhibit a project end product.
-Perform a self and/or peer evaluation at the end of the project phase.

The student will be graded on satisfactory completion of the learning activities, assignments, and project work designed around the knowledge and skills described above.
