Course Information
Biotechnology Capstone
This course is the culmination of all the knowledge gained and laboratory experience that the CareerTech Biotechnology student has acquired throughout the program. This course could look different depending on the area, school, or student. The student could be paired with a scientist as a mentor in a biotechnology industry as a lab scientist intern. He/She would work in varied roles in order to get a full picture and scope of what it takes to be employed in a biotechnology industry. The student could have a pipeline project that would require them to bring all aspects of acquired knowledge and skills to one final project. A final paper and review about the capstone experience is part of the course. Hours vary per schedule but should total 120 hours.
