This course provides students numerous interactive technologies and digital applications as tools that will be utilized to solve real world problems. Students learn to use technology as a tool in order to meet an identified need. Students gain exposure to cutting edge technologies and high-end software and apply their knowledge through the completion of problem-based projects.

-Have an understanding of the hardware and software that is available within the lab.
-Identify interactive technology and digital applications that are used within business and industry.
-Identify different types of software, general concepts relating to software categories, and the tasks to which each type of software is most suited or not suited.
-Demonstrate knowledge of interactive technology and digital applications.
-Acquire technical skills independently through participation in hands-on training workshops.
-Use acquired technical skills and knowledge to mentor and teach peers.
-Develop the skills to provide tangible results to real world problems using the latest technology.
-Demonstrate or use appropriate technology as a tool in providing solutions to problem-based projects.
-Present the completed project and identify the technology utilized within a project to a small or large group.
-Apply relevant technical solutions utilizing high-end hardware and sophisticated software such as CAD, 3D animation, GPS/GIS, web design, virtual reality and video editing to solve problem-based community projects.
-Evaluate the effectiveness, validity, and relevance of utilizing interactive technologies and digital applications as tools in providing solutions to problem-based community projects.



The student will be graded on satisfactory completion of the learning activities, assignments, and project work designed around the knowledge and skills described above.
