Aircraft Fuel Systems
This course prepares students to effectively identify, diagnose, and repair various fuel systems found in today's aircraft. In-depth fuel system theory will allow students to apply the physics, typical design properties, and system opertation to the many different fuel systems in use today.

-Check and service fuel dump systems

-Perform fuel management transfer, and defueling

-Inspect, check, and repair pressure-fueling systems

-Repair aircraft fuel system components

-Inspect and repair fluid quantity indicating systems

-Troubleshoot, service, and repair fluid pressure and temperature warning systems

-Inspect, check, service, troubleshoot, and repair fuel systems

Written and practical evaluations will be performed at the Part 147 AMTS. Upon successful completion of the AMTS requirements, students will have the opportunity to test with the FAA for licensure certification.

This course aligns with FAA Part 147 certified Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) curriculum requirements. Teaching of this course by any entity other than a FAA 147 certified AMTS does not constitute FAA certification. Furthermore, each AMTS must have its curriculum approved by the FAA in its entirety, identifying the hours of instruction, order of instruction, subjects prescribed by Part 147, practical application projects, scheduling of tests, grading criteria, and makeup provisions.
