The student will apply assembly techniques to apparel, including seams, hems, edge finishes, darts, buttons, buttonholes, collars, waist treatments, and closures. Students will gain knowledge of thread characteristics, fabrics, and advanced assembly techniques. Correct fit to a client is foremost in this course. Interpretation of fitting problems, understanding design ease as it relates to design will culminate in performing pattern alteration to adjust problems.
