Students learn both technical skills and creative techniques in the use of digital cameras and scanners along with use of digital image manipulation software to create, modify and prepare a variety of images for use in gaming.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

-Identify Photoshop's user interface
-Take digital photographs
-Scan physical photographs for digital use
-Retouch photos
-Add filter effects to photographs
-Use layers to create photo effects
-Composite photos
-Mask areas of photos
-Use Smart Objects
-Create paths
-Use Adobe Bridge
-Create a professional digital imaging portfolio and resume


The total grade will be determined by daily grades, written exams, hands-on performance evaluations, projects, and demonstrated employability skills (i.e. attendance, self-management, attitude, responsibility, social skills, safety, teamwork, appropriate dress, etc.).
