This course is designed to give the students knowledge and ability to perform individually and as a part of a team within a fire ground activity. Students that successfully complete this course will have met the standards as set forth by Chapter 5 of NFPA 1001, 2002. The Firefighter I course is an introductory course that is meant to be built upon by personnel that wish to pursue volunteer or career work within the Fire Service.
