Fundamentals of Drawing

In this course, students learn the basic concepts of drawing and improve their powers of observation. They work with various media to create drawings applicable to the gaming industry.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

-Demonstrate skills of observation
-Demonstrate conceptual skills
-Work in a variety of media
-Demonstrate knowledge of linear perspective and foreshortening
-Demonstration how light affects form
-Demonstrate the traditional areas of subject matter (still-life, landscape, figure drawing, portrait)


The total grade will be determined by daily grades, written exams, hands-on performance evaluations, projects, and demonstrated employability skills (i.e. attendance, self-management, attitude, responsibility, social skills, safety, teamwork, appropriate dress, etc.).
