Introduction to Basic Manufacturing Technology

Upon completion of this course the student will demonstrate competence on all safety procedures for manufacturing technology equipment. Instruction will include an overview of manufacturing technology and its core components: Completing Hazard Communication, Blood Borne Pathogens, Lock Out/Tag Out Personal Protective Equipment, Back Safety, Fire Safety and Electrical Safety. Basic Computer Operation, Basic Math, Blueprint Reading and Sketching, Gauging Measurements and Layout Tools, Introduction to Statistical Process Control and Interpersonal skills are also included.
