Introduction to Computers and Applications
This hands-on course provides students with a basic understanding of computers and their application. Students will be able to demonstrate on an introductory level the use of a computer operating system, an office suite and productivity tools as well as the Internet.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

-Manipulate files/folders with MS Windows
-Create word-processed documents using MS Word
-Create spreadsheet worksheets using MS Excel
-Create a presentation using MS PowerPoint
-Integrate documents via MS Office applications
-Communicate across a network
-Communicate across the Internet

The total grade will be determined by daily grades, written exams, hands-on performance evaluations, projects, and demonstrated employability skills (i.e. attendance, self-management, attitude, responsibility, social skills, safety, teamwork, appropriate dress, etc.).
