Introduction to Digital Photography

In this course, students learn the basic operation of digital single-lens reflex cameras. They also learn photographic composition, perspective, aperture and shutter speed and ISO sensitivity.

Upon completion
of this course, the student will be able to:

-Identify
benefits of SLR digital cameras
-Identify
basic digital camera parts and their functions
-Apply
the basic principles of shutter speed, aperture, metering and lighting to
digital photography
-Apply
basic photography composition guidelines



The total grade will be determined by daily grades, written exams, hands-on performance evaluations, projects, and demonstrated employability skills (i.e. attendance, self-management, attitude, responsibility, social skills, safety, teamwork, appropriate dress, etc.).
