Students will investigate building materials, design materials, and finishes in this course. Building, fire, and safety codes as they apply to housing will be researched. This course will cover basic knowledge of wood, styles of roofs, walls, and door and window construction and placement. Natural and artificial light will be evaluated. Floor and wall coverings, as well as textiles will be explored.
