Identification of synthetic and natural fibers and their special qualities prepares students to select appropriate fabrics for divergent applications. Textile construction, color application, and the techniques for working with specific fabrics will be discussed and demonstrated. Students will develop a resource book of various textiles, constructions, and applications.
