Advanced Project Management
This course provides students the advanced skills to execute project management strategies effectively. Students experience the project management process through their involvement in problem-based projects that address an identified need within their schools &/or communities.

Fundamentals of Technology or Business and Computer Technology
Fundamentals of Project Management
-Implement time management strategies & techniques.
-Utilize brainstorming as an effective project planning method.
-Create a project plan that includes the necessary paperwork & documentation from the project planning guideline document.
-Understand the concept associated with providing solutions to real world problems.
-Demonstrate organizational skills through the implementation of problem-based projects.
-Demonstrate the process for providing solutions to real world problems.
-Complete a project planning document that includes project proposals, project calendars, marketing. materials, brochures,presentations, etc.
-Develop a project individually or collaboratively.
-Identify contacts who play a role in the advancement & completion of projects.
-Identify & collaborate with people who play a key role in the development & implementation of a project.
-Utilize critical thinking skills to overcome project obstacles.
-Implement strategies to ensure project deadlines are met.
-Compile a project binder based on the requirements found in the binder guidelines.
-Present a completed project to a small or large group.
-Evaluate the process for planning, managing & implementing projects.
-Exhibit a project end result.
-Perform a self- &/or peer-evaluation at the end of the project phase.

The student will be graded on satisfactory completion of the learning activities, assignments & project work designed around the knowledge & skills described above as well as journal entries, self-evaluations, peer evaluations & project evaluations.
