Orthotics Technician
Students in this major will learn how to use the equipment, tools and materials used to manufacture orthotic devices including how to use plastics, metal and leather. Students will also learn the procedures used to manufacture foot orthosis, ankle-foot orthosis, knee-ankle-foot orthosis and orthotic shoe modifications along with spine supports and upper limb support systems. Students will also complete medical terminology and technical anatomy along with clinical externship.
