Prosthetic Technician
Students in this major will learn how to use the equipment, tools, and materials used to make and repair prosthetic devices and about the fabrication processes involved in prosthetics. They will learn about the importance of alignment in the prosthetics and how to use reinforcement materials. Students will also complete medical terminology and technical anatomy. In addition, students will fabricate several prostheses including one for a pediatric patient and complete a clinical externship as part of this major.
