Career Major Information
Computer Programmer (Multiple Languages)
This major prepares students to develop and write computer programs to store, locate and retrieve specific data in more than one computer programming language. Students implement and write programs using Java and other programming languages. They effectively use the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and software patterns to improve software development. Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools are also used. Students learn to analyze and test software. Students gain skills required for the Sun Certified Java Associate (SCJA) certification.
