Important Notices for Testing Liaisons -

Online Testing

As the 2016-2017 school year begins, please be aware of the following changes for access to the CareerTech Testing Center online competency assessments:

  • Every Testing Liaison and Proctor must complete the online Testing Liaison Basic Training and submit the Testing Liaison and Proctor Agreement, as well as the Testing Liaison and Proctor Designation forms.
  • After we confirm that the testing liaison and all proctors have completed training and submitted an agreement and designation forms, we will send you a welcome email with instructions for completing and uploading student rosters.  These rosters will be used to create student accounts and schedule exams to these accounts.  This email will also include your login information to the sFTP account.
  • Once you have uploaded rosters into your sFTP account, we will create student accounts and schedules.  When this work is complete, we will send you an email notifying you that the setup process is complete and student testing tickets are available for downloading.  The sFTP account will also be used to securely transmit competency certificates, test results, and other information that needs to be handled securely.

Instructions for Retesting Students

If you have students who need to retest, you will need to provide us the following information in order for us to set the retest schedule up correctly:

  • Student First and Last Name
  • Last 4 of Student’s ID #
  • Test(s) to be retaken

We will create the schedule(s) and notify you when the student testing ticket(s) are available for downloading.  If this information is provided immediately after the initial attempt, student testing ticket(s) should be available within seven business days.

Certificate Errors

Please make certain student names are spelled and capitalized correctly when entered into the online testing system. The electronic certificate process pulls this information directly from the system to create each certificate.

If input errors are made and a reissued certificate is needed, please send an email to Debbie Whitlow at with the following information –

  • Your name
  • Your username
  • School Name
  • Student's Name
  • Competency exam passes
  • Date of exam

The reissued certificate will be uploaded into your sFTP account as soon as possible.
