Important Notices for Testing Liaisons -

Online Testing

As the 2018-2019 school year begins, please be aware of the following changes for access to the CareerTech Testing Center online competency assessments:

  • Every Testing Liaison and Proctor must complete the respective online Testing Liaison Basic Training or Proctor Basic Training.   You must also submit the Testing Liaison or Proctor Agreement that is linked to Survey Monkey at the end of your training.  Lastly, you must complete and submit the respective designation forms posted on our website under Resources.
  • When we confirm that the testing liaison and proctors (if used) have completed the training and submitted the required forms, we will send you a Welcome email with instructions for completing and uploading student rosters.  The rosters are used to create student accounts and schedule exams for you to administer.  The email will also include your sFTP account login.
  • After creating your student accounts and schedules, we will send you a Roster Uploaded/Ready to Test email.  This will serve to notify you that your rosters have been processed and you are now ready to test.  The sFTP account will also be used to securely transmit competency certificates, test results, and other information that needs to be handled securely.

Instructions for Retesting Students

If you have students who need to retest, you will need to:

  • Record all scores for completed assessments in your roster file
  • Save the roster and upload it to us via the sftp secure system
  • Download the processed file when notified by us to obtain a new PIN code for students that need to retest

If this information is provided immediately after the initial attempt, updated rosters should be available within seven business days.

Certificate Errors

The electronic certificate process pulls student names directly from the system to create each certificate.  Please make certain student names are spelled and capitalized correctly when entered into the online testing system.

If input errors are made and a reissued certificate is needed, please send an email to Debbie Whitlow at with the following information –

  • Your name
  • School Name
  • Student's Name
  • Competency exam passes
  • Date of exam

The reissued certificate will be uploaded into your sFTP account as soon as possible.
