This was developed in response to Senate Bill 497 that says: Beginning with students who enter the 9th grade in 2008-2009 school year, school districts shall report the students performance levels on end of instructions tests and any business and industry-recognized endorsements attained on the high school transcript.
These Business and Industry-Recognized Endorsements have been approved by the OK Department of Career and Technology Education using the following criteria: 1) rigorous, 2) standardized, 3) independently graded, 4) knowledge-based, 5) administered on a multi-state or international level, and 6) covers a program of study (not individual course). You will need to make sure you are communicating with your comprehensive school on any students who earn one or more of these credentials.
