CTE Assessment Guidelines 2012
What certifications does career tech offer? Where can I find the list that has the assessments we can use for A-F points? How can I get a test on that list or moved up on the list? There has been much discussion on certifications and credentialing in the past few months and this discussion will only grow as Oklahoma strives to provide a highly skilled workforce. To help answer some of those questions listed above and to give you some background on the development of the assessment list, a mini white paper was developed. Jennifer Nuttle, ODCTE Assessment Manager, compiled the document with input from several entities. Download white paper It can also be found at: www.okcttc.com
Questions: What certifications does career tech offer? Where can I find the list that has the assessments we can use for A-F points? Answer: ODCTE has developed a master list of approved assessments. The master list of approved assessments can be found at: www.okcttc.com You can find all assessments with all their rankings and you can find the list that is used for A-F implementation and transcripting at this weblink. Question: How can I get a test on that list or moved up on that list? Answer: ODCTE has also begun to rollout a process for a) adding assessments and/or b) upgrading assessments from one ranking to another for the master list of approved assessments. More details on that will be available next month.
A-F Implementation Resources
We have resources available from our website that would be helpful for you to print out and keep as reference. You will find those documents there as well as links to ODCTE approved assessments. The State Department of Education also has many resources on A-F implementation and those resources can be found at: http://ok.gov/sde/f-grading-system
