TCTW Goals

SREB’s Technology Centers That Work school improvement framework helps state, district and center leaders ensure that center students graduate college and career ready and secure a credential or degree by age 25.
  • With TCTW, all students complete structurally guided career pathways that lead to advanced industry and postsecondary credentials and well-paying, in-demand jobs.

  • All pathways include a sequence of at least four AP, IB, honors or career courses, including high-quality dual-credit courses.

  • All pathways are taught in the context of a college-preparatory academic core that includes four years of math aligned with students’ career plans

  • For students pursuing advanced credentials and degrees in STEM fields, courses include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and higher math

  • For students pursuing advanced credentials and degrees in non-STEM fields, courses include Algebra I, Geometry and two courses related to the pathway
