This year's T&I New Teacher Academy will be held virtually on July 22 and 23. There will be additional 2-hour sessions monthly starting in August through December.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL NEW INSTRUCTORS

New Teacher Memo

A Statement of Qualifications must be on file in the Trade and Industrial Education office for all new teachers before any certification application can be processed. The state staff will determine whether the application meets established standards. If you have not submitted a Statement of Qualifications, please obtain and complete one to bring with you.


Following is a checklist for completion of these forms:

Statement of Qualifications

  • Complete entire Statement of Qualifications.

  • Include references with name, address, phone numbers and title who can verify your experience in the table area you are applying to teach.

  • Provisional and Alternative Teachers will need two years of full-time experience in the area in which they are seeking employment (Credential from approved list + 1 year full-time experience will also count).

  • Submit a copy of the highest education attainment (college transcripts, high school diploma, or certificate of high school equivalency.)

  • Submit a copy of any licenses or certifications relevant to the trade you will be teaching.

  • Any additional supporting evidence of trade work experience.
