What We Do

The Resource Center for CareerTech Advancement offers the following services:

Tasks in support of teacher recruitment, development, and retention

  • Collaborate on resources for new teachers
  • Develop and deliver presentations
  • Assist with implementing teacher recruitment and retention strategies

Tasks in support of teaching

  • Conduct online searches for requested resources
  • Evaluate print or online vendor resources upon request
  • Develop crosswalks to standards
  • Maintain a free library of resource links
  • Offer feedback on teacher-developed resources, upon request
  • Publish product reviews of potential teacher resources
  • Develop study guides that align with specific textbooks
  • Create supplemental instructional resources, such as PowerPoint presentations, rubrics, job sheets, flash cards, etc.

Tasks in support of assessment

  • Locate or develop rubrics
  • Support the CareerTech Testing Center

Tasks in support of outreach, planning, diversity and policy

  • Assist with grant development and review
  • Create process outlines, flowcharts or infographics, upon request
  • Assist technology centers upon request
  • Support system-wide diversity awareness strategies
  • Assist with professional development efforts upon request
  • Provide editing and writing assistance upon request
  • Research and write white papers, position statements, and other documents
