FCCLA conference a great success

New FCCLA state officers were elected at the recent State Convention.More than 5,200 people participated in the FCCLA State Convention, where new officers, pictured here, were elected.

FCCLA students packed 39,420 meals for Stamp out Starvation as one of many community services project they do throughout the year.

CareerTech makes alliance with Oklahoma Department of Labor

Memorandum of Understanding
Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Melissa McLawhorn Houston, left, and Oklahoma CareerTech State Director Marcie Mack signed a memorandum of understanding this month.
Oklahoma CareerTech and the Oklahoma Department of Labor have signed a memorandum of understanding for an alliance emphasizing safety and health, education, training and outreach.

Oklahoma CareerTech’s participating technology centers will be able to work with ODOL to offer services that will benefit communities, businesses, employees and residents of Oklahoma. Objectives include developing and communicating information on workplace hazards; speaking and exhibiting at conferences and other events; and sharing effective practices through training programs, workshops, seminars and lectures.
