Agricultural education instructor honored
by KFOR-TV with Thankful 4 Teachers

Lawson Thompson, agricultural education instructor at Carney, was recognized by KFOR-TV on Aug. 30.

Thompson is a former State FFA officer and former intern in the agriculture education department at ODCTE. His students nominated him for this honor, and he was one of the top 10 chosen to receive this honor from across the state.

career pathways for students

OkACTE seeks presenters for regional conference in OKC

OkACTE has issued a call for presenters on Oklahoma CareerTech’s best practices for the Region IV/Pace Conference in April in Oklahoma City.

The conference will be April 16-19 at the Sheraton Downtown Oklahoma City. Breakout sessions will be April 17.

NOCTI announces video contest

Logo for NOCTI video contest: CTE: America's Future WorkforceNOCTI has announced the theme for its 2019 video contest: America’s Future Workforce.

Students can create their videos either alone or with a group of classmates. The videos should creatively, cleverly and concisely highlight ways in which career and technology education affects America’s future workforce.
