New law allows CLEET courses at tech centers

A new Oklahoma law will allow CareerTech’s technology centers to teach some CLEET courses to high school students.

The bill allows Oklahoma CareerTech to partner with the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training to offer law enforcement and criminal justice programs that will give high school students exposure to law enforcement careers. The courses will add to the criminal justice programs already being taught at 19 technology centers.

The goal is to help high school students interested in law enforcement prepare for the CLEET academy.
