BPA National Leadership Conference

Who's going to Nationals?

We’re getting lots of questions regarding who is/not attending NLC in an effort to “bump” winners up to qualify.  If you have confirmed students going to Nationals, please sign them up in the event they qualified for – then all other advisors (and us) will be able to see how many slots are filled and how many are still needed in each contest.

Please note in the comment section your SCHOOL NAME so we won’t have to look up each student to see where each is from.

Pre-Submit Deadline

The pre-submission system is open and ready for entries. The deadline for pre-submitted events is quickly approaching. All pre-submitted events must be submitted electronically to by April TBA, 2018, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. No exceptions will be made. Please do not wait until the last minute to submit. Each contest site will contain instructions on how to upload files. Contestants must be registered for NLC and have their contestant ID numbers ready when uploading files. All files (unless specifically indicated in the WSAP Guidelines) must be submitted in PDF format.

Tips to remember:

  • The student must log in using their contestant ID and password to submit the entry.
  • Students are only allowed to submit one. Make sure all documents have been uploaded before clicking the Submit button.
  • If submitting for a team, only one team member needs to submit the team’s entry. Do not have each team member upload the same entry multiple times.
  • If competing in Interview Skills or Advanced Interview Skills, it is best to download a copy of the application, fill it out, and then transfer the information to the electronic application online. Students cannot save and come back to the application.
  • Be sure that when logging in, students select the correct division.
  • Do NOT wait until the last minute to submit entries

If there is an error during submission, please contact Dustin Devers at or Vickie Thomas at
