Braden Merritt

Braden Merritt is the Program Manager for Google Fiber Central Region. 

The Two Sides of Professionalism - Some of the top organizations in the world have highly effective, yet vastly different different, corporate cultures.  Each places it's own spin on what it means to be a professional within their walls.  While these cultural norms should be respected, BPA students should also seek another dimension of professionalism, one that is resilient and transferable to every working environment.

Braden is an operations professional creating abundant and ubiquitous networks across the central United States with Alphabet's Access organization. After rapidly compounding broad experiences through management consulting, He is helping advance an entire industry by introducing super-fast internet to new markets. His academic studies specialized in energy economics through graduate programs with the University of Oklahoma and French Institute of Petroleum. As a former Marine Corps officer and Naval Academy graduate, he has been recognized with numerous awards for developing and leading cross-functional teams in dynamic environments. He has extensive experience drafting and presenting executive-level strategic plans and am a confident oral and written communicator. He has been held direct responsibility for project and resource management involving multi-million dollar accounts, maintenance supervision, and quality assurance.
