Scholarship FAQ

We’re grateful for the support of schools like Oklahoma City University and Johnson & Wales University to continually offer scholarship support to DECA members. Offering more scholarships to students is something that the Oklahoma DECA staff is committed to securing. There are multiple levels of recognition that an organization can receive for providing a scholarship. The Career Development Conference is a great way to recognize the best students in the state. We recommend offering scholarships to competitive event winners. There are 48 competitive events, and we recognize the top three on stage during the Grand Awards Session. Significant scholarship sponsors can bring greetings during the awards session, receive recognition in the conference program, receive recognition on screen and in some cases may present the scholarship to the student on stage. If you know of someone who may be interested in offering a scholarship, please connect them to, , DECA state advisor, at 405-743-5117.

Babson DECA Scholarship

The Babson DECA Scholarship, a $5,000 award renewable each year, is awarded to students who have participated in the DECA program at their high schools. We believe that students who have participated in DECA may have the intellectual leadership and entrepreneurial mindset to be successful at Babson. Babson's mission is closely aligned with the vision of DECA to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs. We write to make you aware of this scholarship so that you may share this opportunity with your DECA advisees and your DECA partners.
To be eligible, students must submit 500-word essays, a list of involvements at the state and international levels of DECA and letters of recommendation from the DECA adviser. For more information about the Babson DECA Scholarship and all other scholarship opportunities, please visit our website.
We strongly encourage you to share this information with your DECA advisees and encourage them to learn more about Babson. We will be accepting applications for the Babson DECA Scholarship through Feb. 1, 2018. As always, please feel free to contact our office should you have any questions.
