ILC Email #3

Hello,

ILC registration is complete-----284 Oklahomans will be arriving in Orlando In June!
From now on, I will be send the ILC emails to only those advisors who will be attending ILC.  Therefore, if you feel like someone else at your school needs the information, please feel free to forward this information on to them.

  1. T-shirt and pin order verification-Please review the attached document.  If there is anything incorrect, please let me know by Friday, May 12. 
  2. If you or your students would like to pre-conference order trading pins, please send me an email and $2 per pin prior to conference.  The pin $ should be made out to OK HOSA and mailed to OK HOSA, 1500 W. 7th Ave., Stillwater, OK 74074
  3. STEM Premier submissions-The same six events which required the STEM Premier profile and download documents at SLC, are required for ILC.  I have attached the instructions AND a document with ILC submission adjustments.  There is also information for your student to verify that the submission was successful.  The submission deadline is MAY 15, 2017
  4. Student Eligibility form- students registered for Life Support Skills, Speaking Skills, Personal Care, and Interviewing Skills must follow the submission process on the event guidelines.  I believe the form must be emailed to National HOSA BY THE STUDENT by May 15, 2017
  5. Shipping Address- if you need to ship something/supplies etc. to ILC.  Please use the following information:

       You will need to add your name and “hold for guest” on the shipping label

—if your school has not already filled out and submitted the Florida tax

Volunteers for General Session Practice- The national officer team needs HOSA members to join
        them for rehearsal for the general session practice.  Dress can be business casual (SLC polo and solid
        color slacks would be perfect).  Do you have student who would like to help?  Please let me know
        student name and time.  The rehearsal will be in Veracruz.  The following times need volunteers:
              a.  Friday, June 23    1:45pm-4:00pm
              b.  Saturday, June 24    10am-12pm

ILC Dress Code- ILC dress code is different than SLC dress code!  Please refer to the ILC guide on
        page 32 for the dress code definition for ILC.  If you have any questions about this, PLEASE contact me
        prior to conference!  I would hate for your students to lose points or not be able to attend sessions due to
        dress.  ILC guide is located at ilc.hosa.org/node/1
    9. National HOSA app—please download the National HOSA app.  Round 2 advancers and important
        information will be posted on the app.  Please make sure an allow “notifications” and allow to use your
        current location.

Advisor event assignment-  just like at SLC, we need everyone’s help.  Oklahoma is responsible for
        two events---Life Support Skills and Biomedical Debate (written and debate) plus volunteers for sessions
        and evening activities.  Below is the list of where help is needed.  Please let me know where you can
        help.

        Friday night entertainment-hypnotist
        Orientation meeting-Wednesday, 3pm-4pm
        Event-Friday, 9:30pm-12midnight

        Saturday night dance
        Orientation meeting-Wednesday, 3pm-4pm
        Event-Saturday, 9:30pm-12midnight

        Post-Secondary Award Session
        Orientation meeting-Wednesday, 3pm-4pm
        Session-Saturday, 3pm-6pm

        Secondary Award Session
        Orientation meeting-Wednesday, 3pm-4pm
        Session-Saturday, 7pm-10pm
