Virtual VILC Email #1

Good Afternoon,

Congratulations to all the competitive event and recognition event winners!

I hope you enjoyed the 2020 OK HOSA State Leadership Conference Celebration!  If you or your students didn’t get a chance to see it, it is linked to YouTube at https://Youtu.be/E-H3jLKPr1k

All the competitive event and recognition winners are linked to the OK HOSA website under State Leadership Conference.

Below is the Virtual International Leadership Conference information I have received thus far.  Please watch the YouTube video and then check out the information at  http://ilc.hosa.org/ILC-CE  I think the information posted thus far is pretty explanatory.  Please read and watch carefully!  Additional details will be added as it is available.  Afterwards, if you have questions, please feel free to contact me.

Please view a 10 minute video highlighting changes in CE for the Virtual ILC.  https://youtu.be/1Hd6Shou3SA

All updates and information are posted at: http://ilc.hosa.org/ILC-CE under the Competitive Event Tab / Dropdowns. And many more hyperlinks will be activated by week-end, working on it as fast as we can!

The attached letter is very important but most important is the information highlighted in yellow.  Please review carefully!

One advantage to this year’s conference being a virtual format is that ALL HOSA members (even if they did not compete at SLC) and alumni are eligible to take any of the National Geographic Academic Tests.  Individuals can register for as many of these tests they would like through the individual registration format for $10 per test.  Conference registrants can take two tests (which is included in their $40 registration fee).

Since Oklahoma HOSA will be reimbursing your State Leadership Conference $40 registration fee, I am hoping that your school will allow more of your students to experience the VILC opportunity.  From what I understand, each registrant will receive their individual log on code for testing, breakout sessions, Opening Session, and Award Session.  Therefore, if you as an advisor would like access to view breakout session, Opening Session, Business Session, and Award Session, you must register for conference.

I look forward to a large number of Oklahomans participate in VILC!

Please keep an eye on the National HOSA website for updated information.

May 15-----Oklahoma deadline to register for VILC

June 1----VILC deadline for Barbara James Service hours, National Service Project money/hours, Tallo (S &PS) submissions, Wufoo (MS) submissions
