HOSA SLC #1

Good Afternoon,

Just a few more weeks in this first semester-----

1.  The Oklahoma Outstanding HOSA Chapter guidelines have been posted on the Oklahoma HOSA website
2. A reminder----In order for your students to document HOSA Service Project hours and money and Barbara James hours, the students must have a valid email address linked to their HOSA membership.  If you have already affiliated your students and failed to include an email address, send me the list of students and email addresses and I will fix it.
3. The CATCH My Breath Service Learning Projects provide a great opportunity to further develop leadership skills, fight the youth vaping epidemic, and potentially earn scholarships. www.catchmybreath.org/service   Devin T. Mathias | Chief Development Officer,734.277.6511 catchmybreath.org
4. I want to thank the following HOSA advisors who came to Stillwater on Thursday, October 24 and reviewed and edited the competitive event guidelines: Natalie Bowman, Stacia Bowden, Kelley McConnell, Brooke Meyer, Renee Sherrill, Bridgette Cannon, and Amy Warner.  I will be sending our suggestions to National HOSA next week.  I appreciate Oklahoma HOSA advisors who care about the professionalism and validity of HOSA competitive events!
5. Camp IGNITE—I want to thank the following HOSA advisors who came to Stillwater on Tuesday, November 19 to start the planning for a HOSA leadership camp: Amber Feaster, Natalie Bowman, Melissa Johnson, Tammy Silkwood, Sabrina Conlee, Amy Warner, and Lois Miller.  “Ask me about Camp IGNITE!”

All for Now-----
I wish every a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Take Care and Stay Safe,

Debbie Bennett
Oklahoma State Advisor
