Officer Nomination Form Due Mar. 16, 2020

The State Officer and National Officer Candidate Nomination Form is also available for download. This form is due in the State SkillsUSA Office by Mar. 16, 2020. A school may nominate four students for office as follows:

  • Two students for a High School State Office - State Form click here
  • Two students for Postsecondary National Officer Candidate - National Form click here

Please refer to the Campaign Guidelines that have been established.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be a mandatory officer candidate meeting in Stillwater. ALL officer candidates are required to attend the orientation/testing in Stillwater at the Oklahoma Dept. of CareerTech on Thursday, Apr. 2, 2020, at 9 a.m.

Officer Candidates need to be prepared to:

  • take their SkillsUSA knowledge test (refer to the sample PDP test on the Oklahoma SkillsUSA website
  • recite the pledge
  • perform a part (of their choice) of the Opening/Closing Ceremony
  • participate in an interview process

You will receive more specific information regarding this meeting after all nomination forms have been received.

Please encourage your students to seek state and national SkillsUSA offices! Candidacy for state and national office is valuable information to include on resumes and, if elected, the leadership training that students receive will help them develop a competitive edge in job-search activities. NOTE: Officer Candidate’s that do not pass the SkillsUSA knowledge test will not be eligible for office.

Online Testing Information: Mar. 16 - Apr. 10, 2020

All written exams (with few exceptions) for the state contests will be taken online Mar. 16 - Apr. 10. If you do not test during this time...your student will not have another opportunity, therefore the contestant will not have a written test score. It is your responsibility to contact your liaison and schedule a time for your students to test as well as taking the correct test.
