Projects and Unique Attributes

Great Plains Technology Center (GPTC) is committed to developing sustainable world class partnerships. It is the career education institution and trainer of choice for Lawton’s Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company plant, the world’s most efficient tire manufacturing facility. This high caliber relationship is in its 34th year.

GPTC’s commitment to partnering with every community in its district is exemplified by the professional firefighter training it provides to more than 30 volunteer and paid departments. The Lawton campus houses Comanche County and the City of Lawton’s state-of-the art E-911 Emergency Response Center.

Oklahoma’s annual wheat harvest kicks off each June in Tillman County. CASE IH Pro Harvest honored Great Plains Frederick (Tillman-Kiowa County) campus staff in 2012 for its 20 year partnership in hosting and providing safety training for this important event.

GPTC was selected as one of “Oklahoma’s Best Places to Work” in 2012 by the Best Companies Group. GPTC celebrates its staff’s commitment to students, clients and to each other as the driving force behind the selection.
