Projects and Unique Attributes
High Plains Technology Center (HPTC) was established in 1982 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Since that time, the technology center has helped many residents of Northwest Oklahoma to train for a career, learn a new skill or participate in ongoing education.
HPTC has partnered with 8 surrounding schools/communities: Woodward, Buffalo, Fargo, Ft. Supply, Gage, Mooreland, Sharon-Mutual and Vici and offers eleven full-time programs to local junior, senior and adult students. Additional adult training includes a ten month Practical Nursing course as well as short-term classes in a variety of subject areas.
Secondary students living in the district are eligible to attend tuition free. Scholarships are available to qualifying adult students. Students may also earn college credit through Cowley College, Northern Oklahoma College, OSU Institute of Technology, Northwestern and University of Oklahoma.
The Business and Industry Services department provides numerous classes in Oil and Gas Training and Renewable Energy Training. This training has innovative curriculum and hands on approach to meeting the safety needs in Northwest Oklahoma. They also offer Bid Assistance, Ag Business Management and Management Development.

District population is 24,625 based on 2010 census data. School districts served include Buffalo, Fargo, Fort Supply, Gage, *Mooreland, Sharon-Mutual, Vici and Woodward.
